Color-coated cutouts on a bulleyes of a spectrum on a found, painted-on canvas.
 
I scraped off excess paint that added too much texture. I started with purple on the rim of the canvas, and worked my way inward. Once the canvas was covered, I bounced around with different colored images to balance the color density.
 
This piece is a rainbow safe. A dart board. A jaw breaker. There are strips on the blue and green rings that remind me off dials on a combination lock. Images act as extra locking mechanisms. I like thinking what would be in a safe like one with this door.
